Regarding the copyright issue...

It seems like the thought police are everywhere these days.  The morale value of sharing is a thing of the past.  Fans wearing the wrong costume are asked to remove it at conventions (where the fan is the money-paying heart throb of the industry) and fan-art is policed viciously.  Even AMV's are suspect, because somewhere somebody is apparently somehow making money off of them.  Somehow. -_-

Although we, the Writers of the Apocalypse, do agree that selling your fan-art without our permission suxors... we would rather the following:

WE WANT TO APPRECIATE YOU OUR FANS!

Without your fan-art, and costumes, and fan-fics, and overall all of the things you do that opens up our world to other people who might not otherwise hear about us we'd die!

If you do fan-art, tell us! So that we can praise you!

If you wear a costume of one of our characters, send us photos so that we can hug you!

If you make an AMV using our material, let us know so that we can watch it!!!!!

IF YOU LOVE US WE WANT TO LOVE YOU!

Just, please.. PLEASE... don't draw our characters and claim them. Don't copy our issues and sell them.  Don't claim the story as yours or do anything that will land us in court against each other.

There is a definable line between being a fan and expressing it and being a pirate and exploiting it. You know what it is. If you're pirating us, stop it. If you're being a fan, do not fear. We won't be an ass like those others out there and condemn you. We will love you instead.

Because without you we'd never make it.

Peace.
